Apply now: Papers and Posters for the PROFOUND Final Conference
PROFOUND Final Conference “Robust projections of forests under climate change – data, methods and models” on 9 and 10 October 2017 in Potsdam, Germany.
The conference will bring together an interdisciplinary crowd of vegetation modellers, forest scientists, ecologists, statisticians, forest managers and other key stakeholders to discuss nothing less than how to provide robust projections of forests under climate change from local to global scales. Abstracts as well as posters can still be submitted.
What to expect:
- Top keynote speakers
- Highlights of 4 years of research within PROFOUND, including model-data integration, advancing process understanding, assessing uncertainties, using cutting-edge methods to parameterise, evaluate and compare forest models across Europe, and linking modeling results with stakeholder needs
- Plenary, parallel and poster sessions to present your own research
- Dedicated information and training sessions for Early Career Scientists
- Interdisciplinary sessions together with impact modellers from a wide range of disciplines such as agriculture and hydrology as part of the Inter-Sectoral Impact Model Intercomparison Project (ISIMIP) organised back-to-back with the IMPACTS World 2017 conference
Who can apply?
Participation and application are open for anyone with some relation to climate change and sustainable environments.
Deadline for abstract submissions and application for funding is 30 April 2017.
